Archbishop John Bathersby has approved the development of a new Catholic primary school at Springfield Lakes, and has approved the naming of the new school to be called Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School.
The name has been based on the following rationale:
“I have come that you may have life
and
have it to the full. I am the Good Shepherd”
John 10:10-11
Executive Director, David Hutton, said “This school will serve the rapidly-growing areas in and around Springfield and will complement our current Prep to Year 12 College, St Augustine’s.”
A master plan has been developed for Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School and has been submitted to Ipswich City Council for the necessary approvals, and the school has been granted provisional accreditation from the Queensland Government’s Non-State Schools Accreditation Board.
Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School is being planned to open in 2013, from Prep to year 3, with another year level to be added each year after that. To find out more please visit our Enrolments page or email us at pspringfieldlakes@bne.catholic.edu.au.
